  • Looking ahead to the summer, the trio is planning some shows in ITALY.
  • MARCH 2011 includes a concert of JAZZ AND AMERICAN STANDARDS at the CAPE COD MUSEUM OF ART (Julian, Jenifer, and Sonny Barbato), and 3 more wednesdays at FLIPNOTICS in austin.
  • the trio has had a run of Wednesdays at FLIPNOTICS in austin TX that have been exciting, musical, intimate, and stirring. including a night with JJ's dad, JULIAN, who guest starred with the group.
  • toward the end of the old year, JJ and her trio (Chris Jones on upright Bass, Chris McQueen on electric guitar & vocals) began recording a brand new album at James Steven's studio in east Austin. (EAR Recording). in early february 2011, the trio finished recording, and JJ will mix the HOT NEW TRACKS at the end of march. new album: "THE DAY HAPPINESS FOUND ME" should surface sometime in late spring / early summer 2011. the trio is VERY EXCITED about this work. song list:

  • This year has included the start of new recordings, recorded in Austin, TX and in Brooklyn, NY. these will make up part of a new release, scheduled for sometime in early 2011.
  • Heartwarming nights at Banjo Jim's and the Rockwood Music Hall, NYC, and Flipnotics, Austin, TX!
  • TV live taping for Austin's local TV show "The Public Affairs Forum of Austin" (The Live Music Showcase). to air in the fall of 2010.
  • Live on-air at KOOP radio's "A Neighborly Conversation" with David Kobieroski, archived at KOOP.org.
  • Collaborative songwriting results with the House of Song in Austin, TX.
  • JJ interviewed by GUITAR HERO fanzine.

Winter 2008

  • JJ's Hit MERCURY THE SUN AND MOON is featured in new indie film!!
    Run Fatboy, Run Confirmed for SXSW Film Fest Opening!
    Run Fatboy Run, directed by David Schwimmer. An out-of-shape divorced father (Simon Pegg) makes one last attempt to win back the respect of his son, his ex-wife (Thandie Newton), and the community around him. All he has to do is finish his first marathon.

Fall 2007

  • JJ's song in Indie Cult Film!
    MERCURY THE SUN AND MOON featured in Fall 2007 release of RUN FAT BOY RUN (director: David Schwimmer, Writers: Michael Ian Black and Simon Pegg (Sean of the Dead, Hot Fuzz)), starring Simon Pegg and Thandie Newton.
  • JJ has a new rhythm section in her new home-town. Billy Doughty on drums and Tom Benton on upright bass.

Summer 2007

  • JJ relocates to Austin, TX! kicking it off with a CD release show at Cactus Cafe on June 14.
