They had this to say:
There is an interesting mix of music on this compilation CD. D.b.a Burner classify these 6 artists as; Alternative; Jazz and Postmodern. I'll try to break them down for you.BLUECOWBOYS (Alternative) have a very unique sound. Erika Wilson has a very strong, yet laidback voice (very soothing). Steve Fontaine does the guitars and the programming for this mellow, very soft rock sound.
ROB SCHWIMMER TRIO (Jazz): These are some very talented musicians. If you like jazz, you'll love this. Two cuts on this CD from them; Loose Change and East Village Hoedown.
PAWNSHOP (Alternative) have an interesting sound but still common. A couple of their songs could crossover in the music business (country rock/pop rock). There is some good upbeat current pop/rock feel here and fits in with the music that is out there today. Sean Smith comprises Pawnshop's 4 tunes on here.
RAW KINDER (Poetry Rock) is made up of Renee Annabel Wilson, Charlie Carroll and Ian O'Brien. This trio is definitely in the main stream of today's music. This will blend well with some of the big boys that are out there today. Very strong words, vocals, music and poetry all rolled up into a slightly unique sound (sometimes almost jazz fusion). RAW Kinder comprises 4 originals on this CD.
MARK STEWART (Post Modern) plays an interesting guitar song on the CD. This is some interesting work (a little bit too far out there for my taste). If you're into post modern music, this would probably be right up your alley.
Rob Schwimmer really takes 2 different directions on here with the 2 songs he has. It is hard to tell which direction he is trying to go with his music. The jazz he has is really happening but the other one is a little questionable (unless it is for a movie maybe). Didn't really care for the vocal work on a couple of the Pawnshop songs (Strange). Didn't think that the Mark Stewart song fit on this CD at all. Favorites: Wolf (bluecowboys): This song is the best of the 3 they have on here. This is the only one that really relates to alternative (but still sounds rockish). Good tune! Loose Change (Rob Schwimmer Trio): This is a great jazz song! Great musicianship and put together well. Wild Rose (Pawnshop): This is the best of the 4 on here by Sean. Songhead (RAW Kinder): Best song of the 4 for this band.
